Samuel W. Tindell, his Yellow Creek Connection
...
It is not known when S.W. was ordained but he was a Baptist minister and
in December 1889 he was elected pastor of Yellow Creek and served twenty
two months, resigning in October 1891.
...
Mr. Tindell has been gone from Yellow Creek some 80 years, yet part of
him remains. Some 500 yards north east of the church, on a knoll in the
field of Everett Powers, sheltered by a lone tree and marked only by a
rock turned on end, sleeps his small daughter, Lois. How many more
years will this little girl's grave hold an identity?
